BIO
My Story
I grew up on the family farm in the rural area of Chatham-Kent. I have always had a special place in my heart for enjoying the outdoors. I grew up knowing I wanted to be a teacher and I actually practised with a play classroom I had in the basement of our home.
I became involved in a Leader-in-Training program with Adullam Camp Ministries. Over the course of four weeks in 2015, it was here that I learned how to be an effective leader and I gained more professional experience working with children. This later led to summers where I worked with Adullam Camp Ministries and continue to do so today. https://adullam.ca
In my third year of studies, I am excited to use what I have learned through my volunteer work, placements, and work experience to further develop my teaching abilities.

There are deeper lessons and trials rooted in education than the surface level information that is forgotten. I think that this quote gives depth and understanding towards how important the actual relationship between the student and the teacher is. I think that Skinner shows how valuable education is and prevailing, even after one consciously forgets what they have learned.
