MY EXPERIENCE CONTINUED:

2015 - 2018

YOUTH LEADER FOR ENCOUNTER JUNIOR HIGH

• Advocate for youth, promote leadership skills and create meaningful relationships through active engagement in activities with older children and teenagers in grades seven to nine. Encounter is a youth group entered around making empathetic leaders in the community of Chatham-Kent. We worked towards serving others and acted as a support to the lives of the children and teenagers who attended.   • Gregory Drive Alliance Church, Chatham

2016 - 2017

GEMS GIRL'S CLUB COUNSELLOR

• Teach meaningful biblical lessons and care for girls in a grade three classroom setting. This is another youth group for grades one to eight, but it is specifically built with the purpose to empower young women. My role was to offer a loving and caring place to teach girls in a community atmosphere where they could feel at home. The main lesson was not within the curriculum, but the bond we got to share throughout my time working with this class.  • St Paul’s Congregational Church, Chatham
